Today, Detention Watch Network (DWN) released a video that’s part of their “Dignity, Not Detention” campaign. The video calls on Congress to repeal all laws mandating the detention of immigrants.

The geographically and racially diverse group in the video hold signs with messages about brutality, family separation and the lack of due process as they look directly into the camera. Halfway through the video, things take a more positive turn as signs of frustration become declarations of hope. Watch the whole thing for yourself.

The Detention Watch Network is a national coalition made up of a wide range of faith, immigrant rights, and community-based organizations working to educate the public and policy makers about the U.S. immigration detention and deportation system.
